Eagle Ridge

EBS Designs loves to collaborate with our customers, and this project was no exception. Our team designed the hardscaping for this project, including steps, wall patio, curbing, raised shrub area, and firepit, while the client designed the rest of the yard. This extensive project went from design to fruition with our team over the course of three years, but most of the yard was completed during a six-week install. Our team built the yard up from scratch, it included a culvert install, more than 60 spruce trees, and an irrigation system with over 100 sprinkler heads. Everything was sod and drill seeded, planted 200 various species of shrubs, installed a 200ft vinyl fence, an irrigated garden, and decorative concrete curbing around the shrub beds. We also installed 150' of Barkman Rosetta Outcropping wall with matching steps, a 2000 square foot Belgard Dimensions patio in Tofino Grey (finished with a charcoal border) and a raised firepit patio area with a custom firepit overlooking the City of Saskatoon.

This project included an entire front and back yard redesign. EBS was hired by the general contractor refinishing the exterior of the house, but our team worked directly with the client to complete the design work. In the front yard, we removed four 30’ cedar trees that were starting to rot. The old driveway and steps were replaced with Belgard River Rock in mountain ash with a charcoal border; we also added an accent on the side of the driveway to match the Belgard Mega Libre winding path in the backyard. The rest of the front yard was completed with artificial turf, a decorative flowering tree, and shrubs against the house. A 10’ wide walking area was installed along the side of the house, leading to the backyard. The path wrapped around to the back of the house and met up with an existing stamped concrete pad. Decorative trees and low-lying shrubs were installed and included an app-controlled irrigation system and drip-line to all shrubs

Our goal with this project was to replace the old yard with a similar design using higher-quality products. The client completed the majority of the design themselves, with expert consulting from EBS Designs. Our team rebuilt an existing Versalock wall, reusing the material. Two sets of stairs were installed using Rosetta Irregular steps in pacific grey. A custom hot tub area was built and included a wind cover wall. Below the hot tub area, a 3-hole putting green was added with Rymar Pro Putt artificial turf. EBS Designs also included a large patio seating area with a natural gas fire pit.

For this project, we worked on updating an existing pool and yard. The design included several custom features like an automatic pool cover, firepit area and benches. First, the existing pool was updated. We removed the old concrete around the pool and redid the pool plumbing. The grade was brought up to the same level as the rest of the yard, and we prepped the brick to ensure proper drainage around the pool. Next, a retaining wall was installed, and a spot was levelled for a hot tub. We also installed a custom cedar automatic pool cover, sunken into the ground, so it is at finished patio height. We added lighting on the pool coping, along the fence, and uplighting on the trees. Finally, a custom fire pit area was designed, and custom benches were installed along with a custom fence. This project was completed in collaboration with Morris Landscapes and Designs. (www.morris-landscapes.com)
